Welcome to the San Diego Art Loft. After many years of teaching painting, drawing ,and two dimensional design courses to college students, high school students, adults, and kids on both coasts, I have developed a way of teaching that is intensive yet personable.
I taught university level Drawing, Painting, and 2D design from 2001-2007. I managed the Museum Art School at the San Diego Museum of Art in 2008, 2009.
I opened my art studio as the San Diego Art Loft in 2015. The experience has been amazing. I teach most of the classes and see the studio as a place to guide rich experiences in drawing and painting in a familial, interactive,
collaborative teaching studio.
I love teaching figure drawing and I am happy to help with portfolio prep.
My drawings and paintings are figurative, imaginative, and narrative. My understanding of art history and contemporary art influences my art and my teaching.
I hope to reach as many artists young and old to discover the skills that already exist within you.
